Travis served as the Mayor and Vice-Mayor of the Town of Orange Park where he gained first hand experience in meeting the needs of the citizens of Clay County and remains a member of the Orange Park Town Council.

Travis' business and financial savvy comes through his tenure as Executive Director and Controller of the YMCA of Florida's First Coast where he was responsible for the budget of a multi-million dollar organization, and its accounting staff.

Travis holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from Valdosta State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida.
